JULY 2014 – On Thursday, May 1, 2014, myself and over 300 other orthopedic surgeons from around the country traveled to Capitol Hill. Our groups met with U.S. Congressional Representatives as part of the 2014 American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) National Orthopaedic Leadership Conference (NOLC). I was one of two doctors from Maine meeting with Maine’s Congressional Representatives, which included Senator Susan Collins.
